KonaWare and
ServicePower's ServiceMobility applications recently QUALCOMM BREW
Certified.
KonaWare and ServicePower's ServiceMobility application for the
field service sector, has recently passed the QUALCOMM TRUE BREWTM application
certification. BREW is QUALCOMM'S Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless. The BREW platform allows developers to create applications that operate on all handsets with QUALCOMM CDMA chipsets. BREW sits between the chip system software and the application, making the phone's functionality available to the application without requiring the developer to have the chip system source code or even a direct relationship with a device manufacturer.
The program provides QUALCOMM carrier partners such as Verizon Wireless in the United States, KDDI in Japan, and Korea Telecom Freetel (KTF) in Korea, with the comfort level they need before introducing applications onto their networks.
For more information visit the BREW website.
